SCENERY: Mean Girls Card Case

While most Scenery bags are made from backdrops and curtains, a few, like these, are made from other items related to the shows. In this case, vinyl promotional banners.

It must be Wednesday, because these Plastics are wearing pink! These card cases are made out of upcycled promotional banners from the Broadway run of Mean Girls! They’re vinyl, waterproof, and so fetch! (To be clear, the material is waterproof; the card cases most definitely are not.) These are basically a vinyl envelope with a single snap closure. They measure 4" x 3" and can hold roughly 20 credit cards, business cards, wallet sized photos, and folded cash. What else could you hold in it? The limit does not exist.

We have only five of these limited edition card cases. Each is a single piece cut from a different section of a double-sided banner, but most show a bit of Mean Girl leg and shades of pink. Because these were displayed banners, they may show minor scratches and other flaws, but that’s all part of the character of the piece. Each has a numbered history card with more information and you are purchasing the exact card holder and number shown in the photo.

Scenery donates 10% of proceeds from the purchase of this bag to the Theatre Development Fund to introduce students to theatre. Repurposed donates 10% of the sale price to The Provincetown Theater.
