This GIVETEN item was made using materials sourced from our community. For each one purchased, we'll donate $4.25 to a local nonprofit.

Not part of our original order, we received requests from customers asking us to carry this ornament, made from PBR bottle caps. Each bottle cap is individually pressed and hammered to achieve just the right shape. The caps are bonded to each other to form the ornament so the inside is hollow. The finished product is more durable than a glass ornament.

Kaps for Kids, the creator of these ornaments, donates 10% of their sales to various children's charities. Additionally, 10% of the price of each ornament sold by Repurposed will go to our Give Ten fund which is donated to local nonprofits.

Each of these items is different. The images shown are sample photos and do not show the exact item you are purchasing. Because each is handmade using upcycled materials, you should understand that the product you receive will vary in appearance.

About Kaps for Kids

In 2014, Nathan Rues founded Kaps for Kids LLC with the mission to fund important children’s causes nationwide by using proceeds from his whimsical mosaics made from beer caps.

An engineer by training, Nathan started collecting beer caps in 1997, not realizing how it would change his life and the lives of others decades later. Kaps for Kids is changing the way people see everyday items and the perception on recycling and waste through the creation of mosaic artwork and decorative roses.

Nathan has always been driven by sustainability and reducing waste. Beer and soda caps are difficult to recycle, causing many facilities to turn them away; as a result millions of caps ending up in landfills. Kaps for Kids provides people with a way to recycle these discarded and overlooked pieces, giving them a second life as a beautiful pieces of artwork that also benefit children’s charities.
